About

Described as “1 of the top 11 most iconic music venues in the Country'' by Music Venue Trust, and earmarked by Fred Perry Subculture as a live music venue that is "leading the pack in terms of brave programming and all-round community-spirited ethics", The Green Door Store has been operating exclusively as an independent live music venue for over 12 yrs and boasts a 7 day itinerary of diverse events per week. The overall capacity is 300 with 170 capacity for live performance.

Green Door works alongside a plethora of local and independent promoters, showcasing a range of artists from all corners of the industry, whether they're local, national or international. A regular featured venue for The Great Escape Festival, Green Door Store programs a collective of its own long standing events that have become a highlight of Brightons night life including 234 Fest, The GDS Bday, Halloweiner and more recently its Easter Saturday All Dayer of back to back bands.

Previous successful shows have included artists such as; Public Service Broadcasting, Mac Demarco, Sam Fender, Peach Pit, Snapped Ankles, Warmduscher, Lime Garden, Witch Fever, English Teacher, Grandmas House, Lambrini Girls & much more.

Located beneath the arches of Brightons Railway Station, Green Door really embodies the "underground" scene. With its eclectic decor and rustic look, this listed historical building is at the heart of Brighton's booming music scene and has cemented itself amongst the community as a safe space for everyone and place where upcoming creatives and musicians can hone their craft.

The Venue is all one-level access and has proudly received ‘Silver’ status on the Charter of best practice for improving deaf and disabled people’s access to live music from Attitude is Everything. It has a dedicated email address access@thegreendoorstore.co.uk for any access requirements or requests.
