VisitBrighton Service Goes Full Circle

30 'green' bikes for the Green Party

VisitBrighton welcomed the return of the Green Party Annual Conference to the Brighton & Hove during 3^rd – 6^th September 2009.

Always keen to give clients and organisers new and interesting ideas and offers to enhance their events in the city, to tie in with the Green Party’s values, VisitBrighton provided 30 free bicycles for delegates to use whilst they were here on conference.

The bikes were a great success and BBC South East news coverage of the Conference featured a section on the bikes, including our very own Julia Mountifield - filmed riding off (a little shakily!) on one of the bikes.

With the conference venue just 10 minutes ride from the beautiful South Downs and 5 minutes from the new and relaxing seafront cycleway, the delegates experienced a unique way to see the amazing things that Brighton and Hove have to offer.

Leila Kiersch, from Clover Events, who organised the conference said;

'We had a fantastic conference in Brighton and we would particularly like to thank VisitBrighton Convention Bureau for all their help in the lead up to our conference and of course for the generous offer of supplying free bicycles for our delegates.

The bikes were an excellent idea and our delegates made extensive use of them during the time we spent in the city.

We look forward at some point in the future to returning to the city and working again with everyone in the VisitBrighton team and of course, with the staff at our conference venue who went the extra mile to ensure that everything ran smoothly.'
