Think of your safety
Although Brighton is a compact, safe place to walk on foot, please remember to concentrate when crossing the road:
- Find somewhere safe to cross, for example, a pedestrian crossing*
- 'Stop and look' before you step off the pavement
- Look in all directions, as traffic can come from all directions.
*When using a pedestrian crossing, only cross when the green man shows. When the red man shows, do not cross.
When the green man signal begins to flash at a pelican crossing, do not cross. Press the button and wait until the sequence begins again. For more road safety information, visit www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/roadsafety.
