Brighton's Culture and Festivals

Every May the Brighton Festival and Brighton Fringe Festival take the city by storm. The largest arts festival in England, the Brighton Festival hosts a staggering array of art, entertainment and extravaganza. Drama, opera, music, dance, literature, street theatre and outdoor spectacles light up the city in a medley of Brighton Festival fever.
Alongside the Brighton Festival the ever expanding Brighton Fringe Festival offers its own unique guide listing over 500 performances and events, showcasing the best in Brighton culture.
Brighton Comedy Festival and Brunswick Festival
For foodies, the Brighton Food and Drink Festival celebrates every year in September with a host of gastronomic delights, whilst August sees the Brunswick Festival celebrate all that's Regency.
The Kite Festival takes off in July, October brings a rib-tickling celebration at the Brighton Comedy Festival and Cine City presents art-house and world cinema in November.
Brighton culture
Brighton oozes creativity and culture across the city. As well as the Brighton Festivals, there's seafront sculptures, galleries, museums, churches, original Banky art pieces and unique art under converted fishermens' arches.
And don't miss the chance to buy fantastic artwork at the Brighton Open House arts festival in May. The Brighton Art Fair also takes place every September, offering original art at affordable prices.
