Brighton for Families

Family Brighton. Seaside fun
Where else can you ride the Crazy Mouse on a Pier, take the Volk's electric railway along the beach, use old pennies at a Museum of Mechanical Memories, and splash around with the kids at a beachfront paddling pool. Brighton beachfront is a playground for all the family with seaside sports, traditional fun, and a packed year-round programme of events from Festival parades and London to Brighton  car and bike runs to films on the beach.

It's raining outside!

Brighton Museum.Head off to Brighton's historic houses and museums. Children will love the Wizard's Toy attic at Hove Museum and the interactive exhibits at Brighton Museum's living history centre. And find out what it was really like to live in an Edwardian gentry home at Preston Manor. There's state-of-the-art indoor bowling at Brighton Marina, an underwaterworld at Brighton Sea Life centre, kids' films and shows at the Komedia theatre, and birds, butterflies and beetles at the Booth Museum. Who needs the sunshine!

Tempting treats

Everyone loves treats and Brighton offers some of the best. There's family days at Brighton Racecourse, a year-round programme of shows and musicals at the city's theatres, lots of family-friendly restaurants and bistros, and Into Sussex a wonderful range of fairytale castles, steam railways, enchanting gardens and Drusillas Park - 'the best small zoo in Britain'.
