Brighton on film
Since the birth of celluloid, many films have been shot in around Brighton and Hove. The fascinating book Kiss and Kill: Film Visions of Brighton, available from the Brighton Visitor Information Centre, is a fascinating account of these.
Two of the most famous films shot in Brighton are the the critically acclaimed Brighton Rock, starring Richard Attenborough and the 60s cult classic Quadrophenia. Check out these and other celluloid classics below.

A classic of British cinema, Brighton Rock remains a tense, original thriller. Stars Richard Attenborough.
Quadrophenia
Another Brighton classic. Features Mods and Rockers on Brighton seafront, as well as in East Street and the adjoining twittens.
Wimbledon
Paul Bettany and Kirsten Dunst opt for a spot of 'love all' in this tennis outing, much of it set in Brighton.
Genevieve
A true British classic, Genevieve lovingly depicts the battle of the sexes within the backdrop of the London to Brighton Car Run.
Under Suspicion
Liam Neeson plays a pivate eye, and Laura San Giacomo the femme fatale, in this gritty film noir set in Brighton in the late 1950s.
Me Without You
Great indie flic about two teenage girls who go to the University of Sussex. Other Brighton settings include the seafront and Adelaide Crescent.
The Living Daylights
This classic James Bond includes a stunt scene filmed at Beachy Head between Brighton and Eastbourne.
