VisitBrighton now works with nearly 300 businesses in the city and surrounding Sussex area. Join us and be part of an ever growing community of people who are passionate about our city.

Partnership scheme
VisitBrighton operates a partnership programme. The principle behind the scheme is to provide a fair way for businesses to contribute to the marketing and sales work that VisitBrighton carries out on behalf of the city.  We expect that businesses will see a direct return on their investment that is related to the work in which they invest.

Businesses in the city determine how much marketing activity we carry out. The determining factors are how many businesses invest and how much they invest.

Many partner benefits will only be available to those businesses who are part of the scheme. We do not think it is fair that others who don't invest should piggy-back on our work and the overall success of the city without making a contribution.

Partnership Programme 2008
Core Work

Visitbrighton's core work funded by partners
Twenty percent of our funding is provided by businesses in the city through the Partnership Programme. This helps pay for marketing the city to visitors. The marketing programme has two main aims:

1. To increase perceptions of Brighton as a cosmopolitan city break destination.

2. To increase business to partners through VisitBrighton channels including the VIC, the call centre and www.visitbrighton.com.

Activity planned for 2008 includes*:

  • Working with travel specialist PR agencies in the UK and Europe to generative positive media coverage for Brighton
  • A quarterly Brighton Guide in association with The Independent newspaper
  • Online advertising campaigns in the UK and Europe to boost traffic to www.visitbrighton.com
  • Monthly emails to our consumer database of 20,000 names
  • Winter Breaks and Kids go Free campaigns.

*Plans for 2008 are draft and subject to change.  The draft marketing plans will be published on visitbrighton.com/members
