
The Winter Breaks campaign runs from November 2007 to March 2008. It encourages visits over the quiet winter period. All VisitBrighton partners are invited to join in.
The campaign is promoted in the following ways:
Get involved and be visible
The campaign needs Special Winter Offers from you to be successful. Your offers give people a reason to phone, email and log on to VisitBrighton.com to visit the city over the winter.
If you are a hotel, customers are encouraged to enquire about your offer via an enquiry form. This will be emailed to you. It is then up to you to convert it into a booking.
To make things easier for customers, hotel offers will be divided into two categories:
If you are an attraction, venue, shop or restaurant, customers are asked to fill out an enquiry form to print an offer voucher to redeem with you in advance or when they visit.
NB. Your offer needs to offer a saving (i.e. 2 for 1 entry) or added value (i.e. free upgrade and bottle of wine for two night bookings) of at least 15% off normal rates.
Our experience suggests that if you keep your offer exclusive (i.e. available all week), simple and state the actual price you will get the best response. This is a good example: '25% off. Two nights for £120 per room including breakfast.'
More exposure
Enjoy England are also running a campaign to increase breaks across the country during Winter. If your offer fits one of their criteria we will also add your offers to their site for free. The accommodation criteria is 3 nights for the price of 2 or 25% discount on total booking. The non-accommodation criteria is 2 for 1 entry or Kids go Free.
We will also include some of the Winter Breaks offers on each of our foreign language pages (Spanish, French, German, Italian, Netherlands, Polish). Please indicate if you are able to speak these languages when returning your offers.
