Brighton Early Music Festival

Brighton Early Music Festival performers.Fancy a musical city break? Then, why not try the  Brighton Early Music Festival - back in October with an even bigger and bolder programme of events.

Wide range of musical events
Forget stuffy! Forget boring! Simply prepare yourself for a fantastic, wide-ranging programme of events celebrating all kinds of music from the past. And if you like world, jazz or folk, you're likely to find something to tempt you in this year's line up.

Try something new
Early music groups lead the way in exploring links between classical music and other musical styles and in experimenting with new ways to make classical music more accessible. So the Festival really is for everyone. Why not take a look at the programme and pick something completely new to try?

Pop to the pub for some Early Music Live!
This year also sees some performances taking place in pubs around Brighton, with Brighton Early Music Live, which will feature performances by students and recent graduates in informal settings.

1000 years of music
The 2007 festival takes place between 6th and 28th October and covers music spanning nearly 1000 years. As well as the more informal performances, events will also take place in churches, theatres and dedicated arts venues.
