As part of his new chain of good value Italian eateries, TV chef Jamie Oliver is opening a pukka pasta restaurant in Brighton.
2008 opening
Due to open in 2008, the diner will offer quality Italian dishes from £5 to £8, incorporating high quality ingredients and fresh bread baked daily by artisan bakers.
Urban casual dining
The new venture will provide convenient, casual dining in an urban environment, 7 days a week, with an emphasis on consistent quality at a decent price.
Return to heyday
Part of a considerable redevelopment project, which aims to restore the area around Black Lion street in Brighton to its 18th century heyday, it is hoped the restaurant will help the area become one of Brighton's most fashionable streets.
Popular TV chef
The restaurant is also expected to boost tourism and trade in Brighton and will add to the already great choice of high quality restaurants in the city, many of them award winning.
