If you fancy a green city break, Brighton's new Jurys Inn is one of the most enviromentally friendly hotels in the South.
Environmental excellence
Due to open on 30th November, Jury's Inn is currently on target to achieve an 'excellent' environmental assessment rating, which takes key factors such as energy efficiency into account. The hotel is a further testimony to Brighton's ongoing commitment to sustainability.
Low carbon footprint
Factors leading to the 'Excellent' rating include the building achieving a 40% improvement in carbon emissions against current best practice, low energy lighting, water conservation and a rain water harvesting system, which cannily uses the entire building footprint as a water collector.
Sensitive to environment
Additonal elements which demonstrate the hotel's sensitivity to the environment include a number of small bird boxes, 2 kestrel boxes on the roof and Ivy plants trained up sides of the building.
Contemporary, spacious feel
With a host of sustainable awards under its belt, Brighton is gaining a reputation as a 'green city', so its little wonder hotels in the city are following suit.
Jury's Inn hotels offer all the advantages of a budget style hotel with the added draw of a central location near the train station, spacious air conditioned rooms with high speed Internet access and contemporary bar, restaurant and coffee bar. Find out more about Jurys Inn.
