Jubilee Library wins Observer Ethical Award

The eco friendly Jubilee Library recently won its first sustainability award in the Observer's Ethical Awards 2006.  

The Observer Ethical Awards, which focus on solutions that will make the world a greener, fairer and more equitable place, have voted Brighton's Jubilee Library the country's most energy-efficient public building. The criteria behind the award was to find the best ethically minded UK building project that encompassed:

• social inclusiveness
• accessibility
• the environment and
• resource conservation.

In a strong field of competition, it was Brighton's energy saving and understatedly cool Jubilee Library that won over the judges. For more on the award winning library, click here.
