Artists' Open Houses Festival 2013

Every May, artists and makers in Brighton & Hove open their houses and studios up to the public, providing art lovers with the chance to browse and buy original artwork direct from the artists themselves.
The Artists Open Houses Festival enables visitors to see and purchase a wide range of art including jewellery, ceramics and textiles, paintings, sculpture, printmaking, photography and many other media. It also offers visitors the unique opportunity to chat to artists and makers about their work in the relaxed surroundings of the artists' own homes.
Many Open House venues also belong to one of the 13 Open House Trails, which cover different areas of the city and beyond. Most Trails are geographically grouped and houses are usually within walking distance of each other. Entry is nearly always free and many houses offer homemade tea and cake.
