About

ABOUT THIS COURSE
The IOSH 3-day Managing Safely course is a risk management health and safety qualification, providing management and supervisory staff an understanding of the practical solutions required for a productive and safe workforce.

THE IMPORTANCE OF FIRE MENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY TRAINING
In addition to legal obligations, health and safety training also allows Managers to lower risk and minimise accident frequency, improving the health and safety culture of our organisation.

WHO IS THIS FOR?
IOSH Managing Safely is for anyone in a management or supervisory role.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the training, delegates will be able to:

* Apply basic management and practices to safety and health issues as part of a total management strategy.
* Understand why incidents and accidents occur and know how to undertake a suitable investigation.
* Understand the basic principles of risk assessment, developing control strategies and evaluating performance.
* Be familiar with the employer’s, managers’ and the employees’ legal and moral responsibilities for health and safety.
* Have the capacity to communicate effectively on health and safety matters.
* Recognise the hazards within the workplace and the type of action which may be needed to control and manage them.

The course will conclude with a 1-hour assessment paper consisting of multi-choice questions and a workplace risk assessment project undertaken at the delegate’s own workplace.
