NATIONAL REMEMBRANCE SERVICES 2021
Services to be held throughout Brighton, Hove and Portslade to mark National Remembrance. The Mayor, Councillors or his representatives will attend ceremonies where ever possible, bearing in mind that legislation may change and therefore affect plans.
Blessing in the Garden of Remembrance – followed by Armistice Day - two minute silence, Service at the War Memorial, Old Steine, Brighton
The combined services will be held at the War Memorial in the Old Steine, Brighton at 10:45, please assemble by 10:40
Armistice Day - two minute silence, Service at the War Memorial, Grand Avenue, Hove
This service will be held at the War Memorial on Grand Avenue, Hove at 10:55, please assemble by 10:45
The Royal Sussex Regimental Association Remembrance Service
The Royal Sussex Regiment Memorial, Regency Square, Brighton.
A short service will be held at 9:00, please assemble by 8:50
Brighton Service War Memorial, Old Steine
A short Service followed by wreath laying beginning at 11:00, please assemble by 10:30
Easthill Park Memorial, Manor Road, Portslade, BN41 2FA
A limited wreath laying ceremony will take place at 11.00 at the Easthill Park Memorial. Please assemble by 10:45
Hove Cemetery, Old Shoreham Road
North Gate Memorial followed by South Gate Memorial weather permitting)
A short wreath-laying ceremony will take place first at the North Gate Memorial at 11:00 followed by the same ceremony at the South Gate Memorial.
Rottingdean, Parade and Service
11:30 Parade forms up at lower High Street
12:00 Remembrance service on the Village Green, all members of the community are welcome to attend.
War Memorial, Grand Avenue, Hove
A short service and official wreath laying beginning at 14:30 followed by March Past, Salute, Parade to All Saints Church and Civic Memorial Service, please assemble by 14:20
