About

Welcome to The Dorset Bar and Kitchen Brighton - serving fine food & Ale since 1819

Whether you're just popping in for a drink or to enjoy our full, hearty menu of restaurant-quality fine dining plates – we've got you covered. We specialise in Sussex ales, with a host of craftbeers as well as fine wines and speciality gins.

We are more than just a pub. The food we serve is something we are massively proud of. Our sea-side location goes hand and hand with the rolling South Downs to inform and inspire our menu, crafted from the best local produce inspired by an international outlook to bring a unique twist to contemporary dishes and timeless favourites.

You'll find The Dorset Bar and Kitchen at the heart of Brighton's North Laine, the colourful shopping district – pedestrianised at weekends and populated with unique boutique-style retailers. We're the perfect place to watch city life roll by – especially at weekends and bank holidays, where our signature 'Brighton' deep-blue benches spill out on to the pedestrianised Gardner Street.

We've been proud to be at the heart of all things Brighton for over 200 years. Our central location means there is a great diversity of patrons who walk  through our double doors – you can expect to rub shoulders with a cross section of shoppers, local residents, theatre goers, day trippers and more. Amidst all the hustle and bustle of the city's cultural hub and boutique shoppping district - we'd say we're one of the watering holes that defines Brighton's eclectic and eccentric nature.

Despite that busy metropolitan location, you can still expect a relaxed and warm welcome – just like you'd recieve at your local.
