About

Located in the heart of Kemptown, Brighton, Longrain is an independent restaurant that offers a wide variety of colourful, tasty, pan-Asian cuisine.

Traditional dishes with a unique twist give the restaurant a distinct edge from other Asian restaurants in the city. The inspiration comes from a mixture of South East Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

All ingredients are locally sourced with fruit and vegetables coming from our local farmers here in Sussex.

Bao dishes are a customer favourite, consisting of sticky white buns with a filling of either meat, tofu or tempe with a side of sweet potato fries and vegetable tempura. The numerous range of full-flavoured starters, with the popular ones being Spicy Cauliflower and Chicken Satay, are often enough for customers to order several to replace their mains with "Asian Tapas". In addition, there is an extensive range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free dishes for those with food allergies or an intolerance.

As for drinks, the home-made twist on original cocktails is definitely another highlight that receives praise from customers. The popular ones include the Ipad (refreshing and minty) and Escobar (with a hint of chilli),

The atmosphere at Longrain is relaxed but lively and the aim is to make customers feel at home - the lush plants and warm lighting contribute to this!

In the effort to combat climate change and reduce overall food waste, Longrain have teamed up with Too Good To Go. This food delivery concept aims to reduce food shortages by having restaurants sell any unsold food surplus.

Longrain is a family restaurant which welcomes those familiar or not so familiar with Asian cuisine - come on in!
