About

Portland Road in Hove is part of a family orientated area and is a vibrant local high street of quality independent shops, cafe’s and pubs. Situated a short walk from quieter Hove seafront and close to Hove museum with Stoneham Park a focal point for children, it makes an ideal area to visit for the day where you can browse the boutique shops for unique handmade gifts, eco-friendly toys and toiletries and local artisan food, crafts and clothing.

Easily accessible via Aldrington station, a seven-minute train journey from Brighton or via bus routes 2, 46 and 49 from the city centre. Portland Road is also part of annual city wide arts trails including the May and Christmas Open House Festivals.

Once you’ve finished browsing the shops you can stop for lunch or an evening meal in one of the many gastro pubs or chill out and sample the rich array of choice in the many cafe’s and restaurants. Many have outdoor spaces and are family-welcoming.

Portland Road has something for everyone and will definitely become your ‘unexpected find’ should you choose to visit.
