About

School of Booze is a one-stop shop for corporate tasting events (beer, cider, mead, wine, spirits or a combination), and drinks training for hospitality staff in beer, cider and wine knowledge, including food matching, compiling the perfect drinks menu, writing tasting notes and more.

Events and training are privately commissioned and happen in person in a range of venues, or by video conferencing.

School of Booze was included in the list of Top 100 Small & Medium Enterprises 2021 in London & the South-East in a project from NatWest Bank and Newsquest.

School of Booze was founded by Jane Peyton and she is the primary events host and trainer.  Jane was the UK’s first accredited Pommelier (cider sommelier) and Britain’s first Beer Sommelier of the Year. She is the instigator and driving force of the UK’s annual national beer day – Beer Day Britain (June 15th). She is a former Imbibe Magazine Drinks Educator of the Year. For her beer work she was awarded the title Outstanding Individual Achievement in Beer from the Beer & Cider Marketing Awards, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Britain’s Parliamentary Beer Group.

School of Booze does not offer public training classes but if you are interested in Beer, Cider, Wine education please look at our e-learning platform for downloadable courses.
