About
Our Pub
Nestled at the foot of the South Downs National Park, The Jolly Sportsman has been serving some of the best food and wine in Sussex for more than 20 years.
During the winter enjoy dining and drinking next to open fires and warming log burners. When the weather is fine enjoy our stunning terraces and gardens with views of the South Downs.
We have a daily delivery of fresh fish caught off the Sussex coast, and all our meat is sourced from local butchers and farms. We bake our own bread daily, and our pastry chef also makes some wonderfully comforting desserts.
We have an extensive wine list including some amazing sparkling wine from local Sussex vineyards. Of course we also offer Harvey’s best bitter as our house cask ale and rotate guest ales brewed in the south east.
The Jolly Sportsman is located in some of the most beautiful countryside, and there are plenty of lovely walks in the area. So why not park up, take a brief stroll and work up an appetite just ask us and we can point you in the right direction.
Our Accommodation
Stylish and exceptionally comfortable, The Jolly Sportsman is the perfect spot for a romantic and relaxing break nestled within the peaceful South Downs National Park.

Breakfast is served in the conservatory with its beautiful view over the garden and the South Downs beyond. There is a roof terrace with broad reaching views of the beautiful Sussex countryside which is for the exclusive use of room guests.
