This is a very difficult time for The Old Market. As an independent arts venue, we rely on ticket income as our main funding source, so not having that is a huge problem for us. The safety of our customers and staff is our highest priority right now - so we’ve taken the difficult decision to postpone and cancel events for the foreseeable future, but this means a huge loss of income for us as a venue. Any amount that you can donate, big or small, is hugely appreciated and will go towards covering our operational costs in the coming weeks, and making sure we’re able to return and continue to deliver high-quality entertainment in the future.
Brighton & Hove’s spirit is strong. We know that can get through this together.
Discover TOM’s Bar, part of The Old Market venue. This inviting wooden-featured bar has become a lively cultural space, hosting its own events as well as supporting those of TOM’s Main House next door. Live Music, DJ sets, Play readings, Acoustic Pick Sessions, Guest Speakers, Comedy and Silent Film Showings are just some of the nights which lend TOM’s Bar an enchanting atmosphere.
Welcoming TOM’s Bar staff serve a range of wines, spirits, draught beers, local guest beers, ciders and snacks. We hope you will join us, either before a Main House event, or at one of TOM’s Bar’s own events.
