About
Torstigbar is Brighton's first low and no alcohol bar and bottleshop showcasing hundreds of the best wines, beers and spirits from all over the world. Whether you want an early start, a clear head, or a night off, there is a drink for you. In Denmark Tørstig means thirsty and the bar was born out of a thirst for an alternative night out, one where alcohol didn't live front and centre. Torstigbar boasts a carefully curated selection of the finest low alcohol drinks, many of which are internationally award-winning. There is even a menu of genuinely mystifying and utterly delicious cocktails that have taken years to develop, where nothing is over 0.5% ABV but everything is impressive. Even for the sceptics. The drinks are beautifully presented with intricacy and refinement. Torstigbar is certainly raising the bar for low alcohol drinks.
Set on a quiet street in Kemptown, just moments from the bustling pier, the bar oozes Scandinavian simplicity and sophistication, with the finer details carefully designed to be interesting to each of the senses. The wood panelling and incense transport you to a smoky wood cabin and the music whisks you away to a late night Parisian cafe. Even the colour palette of greens and heather has been carefully considered to invoke feelings of calm and happiness whilst you sip on your cocktails. If you're interested in a night rich with conversation, fine drinks and stylish decor, Torstigbar is worth a visit! Booking on Fridays and Saturdays is recommended.
