What is açaí?

Açaí is a berry from the Euterpe palm, a native tree to the Amazon rainforest, an area with a tropical climate that has abundance in water. This palm tree produces between 4 and 8 stems that can carry multiple berry strands. With the significant growth of global demand in recent decades, açaí has become a very important source of income for rural communities of the region, where the berries are hand-picked by harvesters who climb trees up to 80 feet high.
The açaí pulp is a natural antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals. It is also rich in minerals like Potassium and Calcium, Vitamin E, healthy fatty acids like Omega 6 and 9, and proteins.

OAKBERRY AÇAÍ BOWLS is a company designed to meet an unattended demand in the food market: healthy fast food. Not everyone has enough time to eat healthily and fill up on energy, so our mission is to provide a delicious, natural, and nutritious experience quickly, changing the way fast food is perceived. We believe that time and good health are determining factors in our quality of life. We want to change the way fast food is seen and thought of. This is the main reason why OAKBERRY exists. Lack of time will no longer be an excuse for not eating well.

OAKBERRY’s açaí is 100% natural. Our recipe contains no food colorings, artificial preservatives, or guarana syrup. OAKBERRY seeks to preserve as much as possible all the benefits of the açaí berry throughout its production process.
