The Vintage Workshop offers an eclectic mix of antique collectables and vintage clothes alongside a selection of handmade one off pieces.
Started by Brighton artisan Lucia J Elliston, the delightfully airy shop houses many fine and unusual things like vintage haberdashery, hand embroidered linens, sumptuous quilts and blankets as well as old and antiquarian books and antique writing and drawing equipment.
Old glass jars filled with sparkly beads and buttons, clock movements and sea glass sit alongside fine silk lingerie, fancy Victorian bloomers and Edwardian tailcoats. A little cabinet of curiosities holds an array of trinkets and charms to delight such as miniature glass and silver condiments sets, gentlemen's pipes, collar studs and mechanical wrist watches.
The workshop in the back is an evolving space, where Lucia creates original hand bound journals from old books, handmade jewellery and pretty vintage inspired accessories.
So weather you are an avid vintage collector or simply looking for a unique one off piece, The Vintage Workshop has a range to inspire and delight...and look out for Tilly the shop puppy, a little flash of white and a waggy tail to greet you!
