About
Step into the golden era of steam locomotives at Brighton Toy Museum's special Train Running Day on October 12th! Inspired by the Bluebell Railway's launch of Britain's newest steam locomotive, the meticulously crafted Beachy Head, we are thrilled to bring you an unforgettable event themed around the 'Age of the Atlantic.'
The Beachy Head locomotive is a remarkable recreation of the original No 32424, which last steamed in 1958. This labour of love has spanned over two decades, brought to life by dedicated volunteers and enthusiasts at Sheffield Park.
Join us for a day of nostalgia and exploration as Museum Founder and Director, Chris Littledale, showcases some of his favorite Atlantic trains on our exquisite 0-gauge layout. With the protective screens removed, you’ll have the rare opportunity to witness the museum's collection in all its glory, as our treasured locomotives come to life before your eyes.
The museum doors open at 10:30 AM, and your ticket grants you access for the entire day. Take your time to explore, enjoy, and immerse yourself in the magic of locomotive history.
