About
Come and enjoy a decadent evening of fine sparkling wines. We'll sample 6 wines including Champagne, Cava, Prosecco, English Sparkling wine and two sparkling wines from elsewhere in the world.
For many people a glass of fizz before the start of a meal can be among the most enjoyable drinks of the evening.
The process involved in making the bubbles is key to the flavour and style in the glass. We will sample Champagne (made using the traditional method) and compare with other bubblies made from around the world.
We'll also taste a beautiful vintage Champagne to experience flavours that can only come from additional ageing. '
Have you tried Champagne with fish and chips? Find out which foods pair well with sparkling wines and why.
During the evening we will cover:
the differences between Champagne, Prosecco and Cava
a comparison with New World sparkling wines
perfect foods to complement Champagne
how to open Champagne with a sword!
All tastings include: minimum of 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes, use of professional tastings glasses and nibbles.
All our courses can be purchased as a Gift either as a dated or undated voucher.
