The Witchcraft and Vagrancy Act invites audiences to preview their live folk horror soundtrack to 1922’s silent horror documentary _Haxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages_. The Witchcraft and Vagrancy Act combines traditional music with experimental arrangements to unearth the uncanniness in folk music. TWAVA has constructed a narrative edit for _Haxan_ for an immersive cinema experience.
The _Haxan _soundtrack is based around traditional English witch ballads and folklore, bringing the era’s music to life in a vivid celebration of historic entertainment and the macabre. This will be followed by a short selection of songs from The Witchcraft and Vagrancy Act’s back catalogue. Expect tales of magic, murder and misery, as TWAVA create their uniquely spooky interpretation of the folk canon.
