March of the Mermaids 2017
The fifth annual March of the Mermaids will take place on Saturday 15 July 2017. A parade along Brighton seafront to celebrate our seas, sea life and to raise awareness of marine conservation.
March of the Mermaids is not just for mermaids! Mermen, sea mammals, crustaceans, pirates, sailors and all forms of sea life are invited to take part - It's a day out for all the family to take part in.
Meet on Hove Lawns (closest to the Peace Statue) from 2.30pm.
The parade will then commence at 3pm and will end at approx. 4pm at our joint after-party venues on Brighton Beach, the Fortune of War and The Tempest Inn. As usual we'll have music and entertainment until the wee hours!
This year we won't be charging a ticket price to take part in the parade or admit entry to our after-party, but we would appreciate if all participants could give a suggested donation of £3. All profit raised will be donated to Surfers Against Sewage.
