About

Following on from the huge success of Topsy Turvy Tea in 2022, we are delighted to be offering a further afternoon of Gilbert and Sullivan in celebration of the life of Melvyn Tarran and in aid of Cancer Research.

It is anticipated that the performers on stage will include Barry Clark; James Cleverton; Louise Crane; Bruce Graham; Fenton Gray; Alexandra Hazard; Jane Metcalfe; Martin Milnes; Elinor Jane Moran and David Steadman.

The soloists will be supported by a large chorus of G&S singers and enthusiasts from local choirs and music societies.

The entire show will be under the musical direction of Simon Gray who has worked for Regency Opera, English Festival Opera and The Carl Rosa Opera Company.

Members of the audience will also feature celebrated individuals from the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company and world of G&S (such as Valerie Masterson CBE, Vera Ryan, Linda Anne Hutchison and David Mackie, all former D’Oyly Carte)

There will be a licensed bar at this event.

We are looking at the option of offering a return transfer from Haywards Heath Railway Station to the venue for the sum of £15 - the equivalent taxi fare would be c.£40. This will only be available if sufficient members of the audience take advantage of the offer. To register your interest in this transfer, please contact Laurence on topsyturvytea2022@gmail.com.

We are proud to state that Hunters, property agents in Burgess Hill, are sponsors for this event.
