The school break is approaching fast but don’t panic as Brighton has lots of events and activities to keep the whole family entertained!

Brighton Fringe
Half-term is the final week for the Brighton Fringe and there is still tons of fantastic Fringe fun to be had! On Saturday 25th May it’s the final Family Picnic, later on in the week The Warren will play host to The Bubble Show or you could join Captain Cauliflower on an adventure at The Spiegeltent.

Brighton Open Air Theatre
The Brighton Open Air Theatre (BOAT) is one of the city’s hidden gems, just north of Brighton Station, so grab a picnic (maybe a cushion too!) & get ready for the show.  During half-term you can see a production of Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale: The Jungle Book. The BOAT is near the Booth Museum so why not start your visit here to really make a day of it.

Kew Science Festival
Brighton is the perfect base for exploring the wider region of Sussex, so if you’re staying a few days then why not escape the city centre and head to the stunning Wakehurst gardens which are running a range of half-term events including the Kew Science Festival.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year
Visit Brighton Museum & Art Gallery to see the fantastic wildlife images on loan from the Natural History Museum.

  • Did you know... The architect who designed London’s famous Natural History Museum also designed the Hilton Brighton Metropole hotel on the seafront?

And there’s more…
There isn’t space to list all the events happening during half-term so head to our What’s On page for the full listings but other ideas include a Street Party, Extreme Sports Weekend at Brighton Marina, Hove Carnival and the Poetry of Planes at the Toy & Model Museum.

Brighton Zip
Thrill-seekers will love the Brighton Zip, boasting a 300 metre dual zip-wire – the longest on the South Coast – plus a 24 metre drop zone for the real adrenaline junkies!

Sea Life
Be one of the first people to experience the new Night & Day exhibition giving visitors a chance to see animals in both their day and night-time environment. Of course you can still see Lulu and Gulliver the giant sea turtles too!

Phileas Fogg’s World of Adventures
Travel around the world, solving puzzles and challenges along the way, as you help Phileas Fogg on his adventures around the globe in this immersive, theatre experience.

Brighton Palace Pier
The Pier offers spectacular views across the seafront as well as great places to eat out at either Palm Court or Horatio’s. Younger children will love the soft play area and the older ones can ride the ghost train or whizz around the Helter Skelter.

Explorer Pass
If you’re down for a few days then why not grab an Explorer Pass? The ticket includes entry to the Sea Life, Royal Pavilion and British Airways i360 and can save you up to 35% compared to the individual ticket prices. The pass gives you the chance to explore life under the ocean; the exotic palace of the Prince Regent as well as a bird’s eye view of the sea, city and countryside.

Food & Drink

The BRAVO awards are voted for by members of the public and the winner of the Family Friendly category was Nuposto. While most people love pizza, Nuposto’s authentic Neapolitan ones are extra delicious and in a great location just off the seafront. Other restaurants in the Top 10 include Terre a Terre, The Flour Pot and The Chilli Pickle.

Bill's Restaurant
This half-term younger guests can enter the Sundae Colouring Contest whilst also enjoying three courses & a drink from £6.95. The winning entry will win dinner for 4 plus Bill's Chef will create the winning Sundae when you dine!

This May Wafflemeister has a special limited edition blueberry & maple syrup waffle available for just £5.50 – they’ll only be there until 31st May though so get in quick!

The new Harby’s diner on King’s Road has daily offers including free kid’s ice cream Saturdays where kids get a free Harby’s whip ice-cream when dining with an adult. The main menu features hot dogs, burgers, pizzas as well as plenty of vegetarian and plant-based options.

We hope you have a great time and with so much going on why not extend your stay and book some Brighton Accommodation?
