Being by the seaside and close to the countryside means there are ample opportunites for restaurants to use local, seasonal produce within their dishes.
Whether it's seafood caught fresh from the sea or vegetables from a Sussex farm, the majority of restaurants use local, seasonal ingredients. Also look out for local beverages including English wine from Court Garden or Brighton Gin.
Some businesses are particularly dedicated to going local, for example Grow 40 uses a lot of home-grown ingredients and Silo is proud to be the country's first zero waste restaurant. They have their own flour mill; churn their own butter and make their own almond milk.
