Today (Friday 7th June) is National Fish & Chip Day which sounds like a perfect excuse for a trip to Brighton & Hove!

As this is a city by the sea you will be spoilt for choice when for looking for a place to go. If you want the full traditional seaside experience then head straight to the Brighton Palace Pier's Palm Court Restaurant. You can either get the fish & chips to takeaway as you enjoy a stroll along the pier. Although be warned our local seagulls have been known to swoop in and steal a chip or two so, if you don't fancy sharing you might want to dine in the restaurant!

Another popular place for classic fish & chips is The Regency on the corner of Regency Sqaure which has great views to the sea, the West Pier and British Airways i360. The portions are generous so this is a great value option.

Fans of fine dining will be pleased to hear that the majority of our seafood restaurants still have Fish & Chips on the menu so whether you fancy dining al freso in The Lanes at English's or taking in seaviews at Riddle & Finns you can still enjoy this classic dish. Every Friday Harby's has a special 'Fish & Fizz' offer which includes traditional fish& chips for two with a class of glass of fizz or a draught beer per person for £24.

Vegetarians can still join in as one of the most popular dishes at Terre à Terre is the Better Batter & Lemony Yemeni Relish. Instead of fish the dish includes buttermilk soaked halloumi soaked in chip shop batter served with vodka-spiced tomatoes; pea mint hash and, of course, thick chips.
