After the excitement of last week's Afternoon Tea Week I was wondering what cuisine I should celebrate next, well luckily for me tomorrow is National Burger Day so problem solved ;)

So if you're wondering where to enjoy National Burger Day in Brighton then here's a few places for your considersation....

Honest Burger

While there are now a few Honest Burgers across the country they have only recently returned to their spirtual home. That's right Brighton is where it all began with a stall at the Food Festival, now they have their very own restaurant in The Lanes and I can heartily recommend their special Brighton burger.

Stock Burger Co

If it's a sunny day why not sit outside on the funky Art + Believe designed terrace? I particually like the beer & burger pairing suggestions and can confirm the Bedlam Porter does indeed go very well with the El Toro burger.

The New Club

This diner is always busy and one of the main reasons is their delicious dirty burger, and as the name suggets you will get messy eating this but it is well worth it! There is also a vegan version available (pictured).

If you're a fan of people-watching then make sure you get the table in the window upstairs as it's great for watching the world go by. And while we're mainly talking about burgers here I must just give a special mention to Smash's rosemary sweet potato fries - yummy.

English's of Brighton

If you fancy something a bit different then why not try English's seafood burger? A smoked haddock & crab burger with crab mayonnaise, Parma Ham and guacamole in a charcoal bun.

The Poets Ale and Smokehouse

Of course this being Brighton there are plenty of places serving vegetarian or vegan burgers including this roasted pepper & chickpea Burger from The Poets Ale & Smokehouse. This is a Harvey's pub so we recommend ordering a pint of Best to wash this down with.
