Thai food is one of my all-time favourite foods so when the invite to head to Giggling Squid came up, I was the first to volunteer!

We arrived at Giggling Squid and were welcomed with a wonderful Christmas Cocktail. The cocktail was a take on an Espresso Martini but with a cinnamon and Baileys twist. It was absolutely delicious and was a really lovely treat to sip on while we checked out the menu.

The menu is full of many amazing dishes, I found it so hard to decide what to eat, I wanted it all!! I kept looking at the different meals coming out of the kitchen and changing my mind – everything looked so great!

After much deliberation, we opted for Prawn Crackers, Spring Rolls and Grilled Squid with Crispy Thai Garlic. We decided we’d share all three starters however I could have happily kept all of the Squid to myself!

For mains, I opted for Salmon fillet in a creamy, red curry sauce with stir fried Tenderstem broccoli and pak choi. The flavours in this dish won me over; everything was so delightful I just sat in silence taking it all in.

My husband decided to have a classic Thai dish, The Pad Thai but with Giant butterfly King Prawns. These prawns were some of the tastiest prawns I have ever eaten (not that he let me have too many)!

The time to pick a desert came up and we really didn’t have room for much more food, but the Melting Heart Chocolate dessert and Prosecco & Muddled Berry Cheesecake was far too tempting – it is Christmas after all…!

We had such a wonderful evening and I couldn’t recommend it enough, the food was heavenly and the cocktails were simply perfect.
