Dining at home just became a touch grander. While the Grand Hotel, and Cyan restaurant are both closed for dining in, the team have been busy whipping up a whole host of luxury takeaway options for you to enjoy at home.

When Cyan opened in the iconic Grand Hotel it produced a menu full of the freshest, locally sourced ingredients with a top-notch offering of small plates and sharing platters. When I heard they were starting take away boxes to enjoy at home, my expectations were high and I couldn’t wait to give them a try.

I was lucky enough to try the grill at home BBQ box which included:

  • 4 Sussex sirloin steaks
  • 4 wagyu beef burgers
  • 4 marinated chicken
  • 4 lamb koftas

Plus a refreshing selection of salads, antipasti, Corn on the Cobs, ciabatta buns and cheese!

The food looked incredible, it was all presented well in boxes with labels telling us what was what and simple cooking instructions so we knew how long to cook the Meat for. I was blown away with how much food was included, I didn’t need to add anything to our BBQ except my favourite condiment. The Meat had been pre marinated and the salads were freshly made, this was fast becoming the easiest BBQ ever!

The Meat cooked perfectly (Thank you, Husband!) but the cut and quality is what really stood out. The Steaks were so tender and the Wagyu Burgers were really flavoursome. I had never tried Wagyu Beef before so this really felt like an extra special BBQ.

I was stuffed after the most delicious feast, we shared it between 4 people and had plenty left over so this could easily feed 6. The BBQ box costs £50 and is really worth every penny – what a great afternoon in the garden this was – Thank you Cyan and The Grand Hotel.

If you don’t have a BBQ or aren’t a Meat eater, there are plenty of options you can enjoy;
