It is still 1985, Brighton's legendary 80s party, which brings an unadulterated burst of pure 80s joy to Brighton each and every Saturday (weekly for 16 years now) presents it's infamous NYE party.

Spellbound

The '80s club night for people who hate '80s nights, start the new year dancing to alternative classics by the likes of Siouxsie, Soft Cell, Stray Cats, Smiths and Specials! 

Komedia NYE Comedy Club

Head the year on a high with a night of at Komedia enjoying the very best comedians on the circuit, with a glass or two of bubbly and some delicious food.

Boogie Wonderland

Dance the year away at Komedia's massive NYE party Boogie Wonderland, spinning the best tunes from the 1970s. Nothing but good rhythms from the decade, sure to get your body moving on the dance floor.

Pop-up House Party 

The venue will be converted into a massive ski lodge for the final party of the year with disco funky house in the main bar area plus old skool Club Classics in the separate rear Club room from 8pm til 2am!

Dishoom Permit Room

This is your permit to party! Dishoom Permit Room are hosting their first-ever New Year’s Eve knees-up and damn good start to 2025. All in. All out. Expect some of the best-ever cocktails, plates and plates of food and music to dance yourself to gloriously good health.

The Golden Age of Disco

The Golden Age of Disco, hosted by the fabulous Billie Gold, with a guest appearance from Jamie Heward, is your ticket to an unforgettable evening of music, dancing, and disco glamour at Shelter Hall. Step back in time and relive the glitz and groove of the disco era, with a soundtrack spanning the 70s, 80s, and 90s. 

And finally... New Year's Day - Horn Salute

This is meant to be a New Year's Eve post but we had to include this suggestion for New Year's Day as well. To mark the anniversary of Railway 200, Volk’s Electric Railway, will be participating in Railway 200 – New Year Whistle Event. They will be performing a massed ‘horn salute’ at midday on the 1st January, to welcome in 2025, the event will be held at Halfway Station next to Jungle Rumble Café.
