Sometimes we all need to escape the everyday and take a break from it all to help us Brighton Up.
This summer we will be sharing our favourite ways to Brighton Up - whatever the weather!
Today Councilllor Ty Goddard shares with us the places around the city that help him to Brighton Up...
If you're looking for a pub then it has to be The Bevy – always a fun atmosphere and it's the only co-operative pub with superb community events.
A gentle game of tennis in one of our beautiful local parks - parks and courts across the city are good for tennis.
A delicious meal at Bincho Yakitori in Preston Street
Speaking of food I have to mention the bread from Coburn & Baker – Made in Bevendean!
I always love a visit to the Duke of York's Picturehouse – the oldest continuously operating cinema in the UK
Dog walks with Carter our Cavapoo always help me Brighton Up - our favourite walkings spots are the seafront, the Undercliff Walk and the Downs.
Finally I have to include another foodie spot H's café on Coombe Road - like many great cafés across the city, this one is loved by locals.
Thank you Ty.
Don't forget to share a photo of what helps you to #BrightonUp during a visit to the city and you could win a 2 night break at snooze!
