The Halloween half-term holidays needn't be scary, with our round up of events in Brighton & Hove and boo-yond to keep even the most terrifying terrors (Big & Small) entertained! 

Our round up has spooky fun for the kids, but we have also thrown in some ghouly grown-up only fun too. 

Magical Cinema at Wakehurst: 2 – 4 October

Adventure Cinema is bringing a spellbinding line-up of Halloween favourites to Wakehurst, with a series of spooky outdoor screenings set beneath the night sky. From cult classics and family-friendly frights to supernatural favourites, there's something for every ghost, ghoul, and movie lover.

Ghostly Gatherings: 2 - 30 October   

Get in the spirit this Halloween and visit Preston Manor after dark, supposedly one of the most haunted houses in Brighton, for a ghost tour and exploration. Guests will be greeted with a glass of wine and nibbles, before exploring the many secrets of the house with one of their expert ghost guides.  

Halloween at Borde Hill: 17 October – 1 November

This Halloween half-term, something spooky is stirring in Pumpkin Patch Meadow!  Mischievous owl Morticus Moonfeather is casting magical spells on the scarecrows, turning their Halloween preparations into hilarious chaos. Follow the trail through the Garden, meet the enchanted scarecrows, and take on a series of fun games and challenges along the way.

The Haunting of Hill House: 20 – 24 October

From best-selling novel to major hit Netflix series, The Haunting of Hill House now takes to the stage in this gripping new production that blurs the line between heart-thumping suspense and the supernatural. Don’t miss this chilling theatrical adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s “near perfect” (Stephen King) classic ghost story.

Everybody Scream at The Old Market: 23 October

Multi-award-winning New Note Orchestra and musicians from the London Philharmonic Orchestra in a spellbinding musical collaboration. As the seasons turn, they mark Samhain, the ancient festival celebrating the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter. Expect haunting harmonies, ethereal vocals and a sprinkling of witchy lyrics. 

Halloween Shriek Week at Drusillas: 24 October - 1 November 

Shriek Week at Drusillas Park is the perfect place to take the kids for a family-friendly, fun-filled, and spooky Halloween week! With a spiders' den, terrifying treats, and a sugar skull witch making magical appearances, this is the perfect spooky, day out. 

The Haunted Objects of Snoopers Paradise: 24 – 31 October

This Halloween, something strange is lurking among the thousands of treasures at Snoopers Paradise. Hidden throughout the shop is a collection of supposedly haunted vintage objects, each with its own peculiar story.

Night at the Ascarium: 28 October

Dare to enter SEA LIFE Brighton after hours for a Halloween night like no other. When the lights go down and the last visitors leave, something strange stirs beneath the surface. This Halloween, the ocean comes alive after dark...

Joe Black’s Kleines Kabarett: 29 October

Brighton’s Weimar infused cabaret extravaganza! Filthy, fun and downright delicious. Join cabaret reprobate Joe Black as they play host to an array of special guest stars from the world of cabaret, burlesque, drag, and musical comedy.

Crafty Kids Workshop at Brighton Dome: 29 & 30 October

Guided by artist/workshop leader Laura Halliwell you will have fun creating simple flapping bat and creepy spider puppets. Any child who loves making stuff will have a blast doing this workshop. These relaxed sessions are designed to suit children aged 3 –10 working collaboratively with their parent/carer, and all materials are provided.

Kids Halloween Sessions: 29 & 31 October 

Take your little monsters to Beach Box Sauna this Halloween! Join their kooky Beach Box family for a special kids’ sauna session, the perfect chance to introduce them to the joys of sauna, and share a little bit of what you love about Beach Box. Expect fiery saunas, spine-tingling cold showers, spooky surprises and plenty of sugar-free family fun.

Lazerzone Halloween Party: 30 October 

Are you ready to step into the arena for Halloween-themed laser battles and exclusive game variations? Expect screams, teams and laser beams! Enjoy one hour of exclusive Halloween themed games plus a 9” pizza and drink.

The Ghost of Frighton Rock: 30 & 31 October 

Brighton’s first ever Halloween themed musical goes tragically wrong! Join this Pier Pressure murder mystery at the Hotel du Vin, and discover who killed festival organiser Ronan Hyde. Get ready for a night of murder, mystery and music that’s sure to be an absolute scream.

Ghost Walk Dinner at the Queens Hotel: 30 October & 13 November 

Using the legendary Queens Hotel for your base, this is an evening that combines spooky happenings with a delicious three course dinner. Meet at the hotel before venturing out into the Lanes, hear supernatural tales from the famous Ghost Walk of the Lanes before heading back to the hotel for a cocktail, three course dinner and glass of house wine to restore your nerves. 

Kayaking Adventures in the Dark: 31 October 

As the day draws to an end and twilight settles in, strap on some waterproofs and get stuck into a new night-time adventure from Hatt Adventures. Whether you're a seasoned kayaker or a complete novice, this trip will cater to your group's skill level.

Halloween Party at Hove Lagoon Watersports: 31 October 

With a family friendly programme of Halloween fun, Hove Lagoon Watersports have planned the perfect Halloween day out. With a Pumpkin Paddle Relay, Halloween games and challenges, and a fire pit and marshmallows.  Plus, they have partnered with Saunadelic offering family friendly sauna sessions then a spooky trick or treat sauna in the evening!

Halloween at The Depot: Various Screenings 

Depot’s 2026 Halloween season is packed with cult classics and director Q&As! Join them for a piece of British television history with Ghostwatch, alongside classics such as Kill List, The Devils and the Blair Witch Project.
