About
Brighton Racecourse is one of the most exciting, vibrant, race tracks in the South of England and with its fantastic location the seaside course is perfect for a great day out with corporate clients, friends or family. "Undoubtedly one of the most picturesque settings of any course” Channel 4.
You will find us situated on Whitehawk Hill, around 1 mile away from the coast and the course originates back to 1783, when the first official race was held in the area. These days the racecourse hosts flat racing fixtures from April until October as well as a number of other events throughout the year.
On Track
The track is quite unusual, as it is one of the few British courses not to have a complete circuit. Instead, it has an undulating, left-handed, horseshoe-shaped course of one mile four furlongs in length. The mile four start is the lowest point of the course, with the Winning Post being the highest, and there is an uphill climb from two furlongs out.
Events
Throughout the year, the fixtures include a mix of Afternoon and Evening racing, the three-day Festival in August and Ladies Day. As well as racing, there are a number of fairs and shows on at various times. Make sure you sign up for the regular newsletter to hear about all the events, offers and ticketing information first.
Additionally, experience all the excitement of the races at Brighton Racecourse in the utmost style with hospitality on selected race days or enjoy a fine dining experience in one of the track's quality restaurants. Take in panoramic views of the racecourse in your own private suite for the ultimate way to watch the Sport of Kings.
