About

The Brighton & Hove Rainbow Run is back—bolder, brighter, and bigger than ever.

Returning to Hove Park on Friday 31st July at 7pm, this iconic 5K fun run is fast cementing its place as a standout moment in the Pride Weekend calendar. Now in its fifth year, the event continues to grow in both scale and impact, bringing together community, celebration, and purpose in one vibrant experience.

This year’s event proudly supports MindOut, a local LGBTQ+ mental health charity delivering vital services and making a meaningful difference across the community.

Delivered by the Brighton & Hove Frontrunners and officially registered with English Athletics, the Rainbow Run goes beyond a traditional race—it’s a fully immersive celebration. Expect colour, music, and high-energy entertainment from start to finish.

Open to absolutely everyone, this is a truly inclusive event—whether you’re a seasoned runner or just here for the experience. Participants of all abilities are warmly welcomed, including those who are blind, use wheelchairs, or are hard of hearing. The focus is simple: show up, take part, and be part of something special.

Participants can compete for top spots across male, female, and non-binary categories, or those leaning into creativity can aim for the coveted fancy dress recognition. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply showing up for the vibes, there’s space for everyone to engage.

Live DJs from Gaydio will set the tone throughout the course, while local drag icons Cherry Bomb and Dame Burly Chasse lead the festivities—bringing charisma, humour, and unforgettable flair to the evening.

And the experience doesn’t stop at the finish line. Every participant will receive a medal and a race-leading goodie bag as part of the experience. The next instalment in the Rainbow Run medal series, with participants collecting the yellow edition—building towards a full spectrum collection over the coming years.

Beyond the run itself, attendees can get involved with exciting raffle prizes and explore limited edition merchandise—locally designed in Brighton—adding another layer of community-driven impact to the event. With 100% of the profits going to Mind Out.

Tickets start from just £17, making this an accessible and high-value way to be part of Pride Weekend while supporting a vital cause.

Whether you run, walk, strut or dance your way through, this is more than a 5K—it’s a celebration of identity, inclusion, and community spirit.
