Landing ahead of the band’s biggest headline tour to date, plus dates supporting Shaking Hand, Brighton post-rock/folk quartet ladylike return with intimate new single ‘Borrowed Time’, out via Heist or Hit (Her’s, Westside Cowboy, The Slow Country, Makeshift Art Bar).

Shacking up in a renovated chapel studio in Pembrokeshire, Wales with producer Balázs Altsach (Ugly, Orchestra (for now)) ‘Borrowed Time’ sees the band bring a more experimental approach to the studio, recording, mixing and mastering the track within a rapid three week stretch. Tracked by the band together in the same room, it feels tantalisingly exposed, loaded with the spontaneity of off-the-cuff performance, its deft musical storytelling rising and falling between momentous rushes of slowcore and the stock-stillness of folk.

Capturing the gentle yet immersive drama of the band’s cinematic live sets, 2026 has seen ladylike play sold-out headline shows in Brighton and London, a support tour with the Orielles, and shows at The Great Escape (First Fifty), building on festival appearances at Green Man, Dot to Dot, Left of The Dial and Outer Town, plus gigs with Ugly, mary in the junkyard, Lime Garden, villagerr
