About

Murder on the Nile

Presented by Southwick Players
Directed by Robert Tremayne

Kay Ridgeway has it all youth, beauty, boundless wealth, and now a brand-new husband. But as the couple set out on their honeymoon voyage along the Nile, paradise swiftly turns to peril. A shocking murder shatters the tranquillity of the paddle steamer, leaving every passenger under suspicion.

This is Agatha Christies original stage version of her classic tale without Hercule Poirot. Who needs him when the wry and watchful Canon Pennefather is on board? From jealous lovers to embittered friends, every traveller harbours secrets, and each has a motive for murder.

As the heat rises and claustrophobia tightens its grip, buried tensions erupt and a daring conspiracy is exposed. Romance, danger, and deception combine in Christies masterful whodunnit, where nothing is quite as it seems and nobody can be trusted.

Seating & Experience:
The Barn Theatre will be transformed into the deck of the paddle steamer 'Lotus', featuring cabaret seating at the front to immerse you in the heart of the action, and raked seating behind for a perfect view of the suspense.

Audiences are warmly encouraged to embrace the 1930s glamour of the evening dress for the voyage, sip a drink, and prepare to become part of the atmosphere as Christies mystery unfolds around you.

Step aboard for a night of intrigue, elegance, and murder on the Nile if you dare.
