An RAF Chinook aircraft replica will touch down on Brighton seafront by the i360 observation tower next week as the Royal Air Force brings its flagship Town Show recruitment roadshow to Brighton.
Taking place from Friday 10 April to Sunday 12 April, and forming part of the Brighton Marathon weekend festivities, the free event will give Sussex residents, plus family and friends of runners, a rare opportunity to step inside military aircraft, meet RAF Regulars and Reservists, and explore careers in one of the UK's most technologically advanced organisations.
The event will feature STEM challenges showcasing the innovation behind RAF operations, a mixed-reality experience, and the opportunity to discover the different sports available to RAF Regulars and Reservists, with representation from RAF skateboarding, women’s cricket, the RAF Swimming Association and RAF Athletics, which has runners competing in the weekend’s Brighton and Hove 10K race.
