Brighton & Hove Pride is probably one of the busiest weekends in Brighton’s already jam-packed calendar so planning ahead is a must, here’s our guide to make sure you spend more time enjoying the fun when you get here!

With only 50 days to go, we cannot wait to see the city burst into colour to support our wonderful LGBTQIA+ community at Brighton & Hove Pride. Ahead of the big weekend 2 – 3 August, we’ve got together some ideas of how to make the best of the celebrations in the city.

Pride Events

Shelter’s Hall Pride Community Fundraiser, Drag Music Bingo: 17 June

Shelter Hall are holding a fundraiser in celebration of Pride month to support the Pride Community Foundation. There are fantastic prizes up for grabs from local businesses such as The Harbour Hotel and 100% of the ticket proceeds are being donated to The Pride Community Foundation. 18+ Early bird tickets are £5.


Brighton Trans Pride: 19 July

Trans Pride Brighton has been running since 2013 and the first and largest Trans Pride event in Europe, and is the 12th Annual Trans Pride, with the aim to provide a great day for trans, non-binary & intersex people and their friends, allies & family. They are a grassroot community-led organisation staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers. Trans Pride Brighton is the first and the largest Trans Pride event outside of America. 


Brighton Music Hall's Pride beach takeover: 31 July - 3 August

Make this Pride one to remember at Brighton Music Hall's Brighton Pride beach takeover! With £3 drag bingo, live Dj's bringing the anthems to your Pride weekend, dancers and a live sunset disco, this is a must to put on your weekend plans! 


Brighton Open Air Theatre: Drag in the Park: 1 August 7pm with a 2pm family friendly show

With wild lip-synching, incredible costumes and a barrel of laughs, this is the ideal night out whether you’re a Drag regular or just want to see what all the fuss is about. Their bumper Pride edition features: star of stage and screen, Drag King Don One, and Drag in the Park favourite, Son of a Tutu. More names to be announced. Hosted as always by the insatiable Alfie Ordinary!


Drag Bottomless Brunch at DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole: 2 August 

Plan ahead and book a buzzing Bottomless Brunch with yummy food, glitter station and an amazing Drag Performance from Snow White Trash on the saxophone to celebrate Pride Weekend, the perfect way to kick off your festivities.


Pride Parade: 2 August

This riot of colour, celebration and defiance is a fantastic display of inclusivity, starting at Hove Lawns which then weaves through the city, with beautiful costumes and a wonderful party atmosphere, the whole city gets behind those in the parade. This year's theme is Ravishing Rage. Don’t forget to take plenty of change to donate and prepare to cheer your socks off to support those taking part!


Ultimate Pride event at the Salt Room: 2 August

Whether you're starting your day in style or settling in for the long haul, The Ultimate Pride is all about great drinks, good people and that unmistakable Brighton buzz. With a live DJ setting the vibe, a menu of delicious light bites coming from the kitchen, and the best view in the city for the Pride parade, this is your golden ticket to a Pride pre-party that’s got it all.


Pride on the Park

Once you’ve watched the parade, it’s time to party at Pride on the Park, a finale of colour and joy at Preston Park, with major headliners including Mariah Carey, Fatboy Slim, Sugababes and a plethora of pride pop prince and princesses, it’s going to be one hell of a party! Tickets are a must, buy yours here


Pride Street Party

Get ready to celebrate louder, prouder, and with even more sparkle! Pride are thrilled to announce they’re teaming up with your favourite local LGBTQ+ venues to create an uplifted, reimagined celebration for this years’ Pride Street Party which will be held on Marine Parade. Bringing the community together for a spectacular weekend of entertainment hosted by some of the city’s favourite LGBTQ+ venues. Expect to see acts from Danny Beard, Jaguar, Rhythm of the 90’s, Mary Mac, Sonia and so much more!


Accommodation Ideas

Forget dashing off after the fun finishes at Pride on the Park, why not stay in the city to soak up the atmosphere? A few accommodation ideas of places that have that Pride buzz:

Nothing beats spending Pride weekend under canvas as you immerse yourself in a Pride experience filled with fun, laughter and celebrations and it’s the best way to make Pride weekend financially accessible to all visitors. Prices start at £18.50 per person, per night, for camping and you can book 3 nights (Fri-Sat-Sun) or 2 nights (Sat-Sun), you will need to book for each person on site in a tent or campervan.

Travel Ideas

By far the easiest and least stressful way to get to the city is by train, Southern and Thameslink, both have great services to the city, check their websites for current updates about travel when here. Once in the city, everything is walkable, on the day of the parade there will be road closures so by foot or public transport is best for getting to the Parade and after party at Preston Park.
