About

Phoenix Art Space is a unique arts organisation located in the centre of Brighton. We were established as a charity in 1995. A thriving and dynamic space, we provide and maintain a range of creative opportunities in the heart of the city including 100 affordable artist studios, two public galleries and around 15 free exhibitions a year. Alongside our exhibition programme, we put on a range of community events which are open to everyone. These include talks and presentations, family fun days, short courses and drop-in workshops.

Our large, airy, light building has a range of creative spaces that are available for hire and suitable for exhibitions, events, creative workshops and meetings. We have three workshop rooms along our ground floor corridor; the Green, White and Red rooms. Our Green Room is our clean space, great for digital projects, pop-ups, screenings, seminars, training days and organisational groups. We even have a special package for using this space specifically for exhibitions. Our White and Red rooms are great spaces for getting messy, painting and making. These rooms are used for our course programme and can also be hired for independent creative use. We also have a large gallery space that is flooded with light and the perfect setting for a wide range of exhibitions and events.

Capacities:

Green Room - 50 standing / 40 seated cinema style

Red Room - 12 - 15 max around a central table

White Room - 50 standing / 40 seated cinema style
