About
As a precaution, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone or cancel a number of our upcoming events, and we are currently talking to show promoters and producers about securing new dates. We will have more concrete information for you shortly and will be in touch with all bookers directly once this is all confirmed. Of course, we will be honouring all requests for refunds - but this will take us longer than it would under normal circumstances. Thank you for your patience at this troubling time, and remember to stay safe and look after one another.

This is a very difficult time for The Old Market. As an independent arts venue, we rely on ticket income as our main funding source, so not having that is a huge problem for us. The safety of our customers and staff is our highest priority right now - so we’ve taken the difficult decision to postpone and cancel events for the foreseeable future, but this means a huge loss of income for us as a venue. Any amount that you can donate, big or small, is hugely appreciated and will go towards covering our operational costs in the coming weeks, and making sure we’re able to return and continue to deliver high-quality entertainment in the future.
Brighton & Hove’s spirit is strong. We know that can get through this together.

Vibrant Grade II Listed building brimming with character and quality that will impress your guests. Following extensive refurbishments in 2010, The Old Market’s Main House and adjoining bar spaces provide a special setting for events both large and small. As a dynamic cultural venue, our staff and facilities are well-equipped to host presentations and entertainments. We highly value the personal approach, tailoring events to your requirements.
