Blue Monday
The third Monday in January (Monday 18th January 2021) is known as Blue Monday because it is apparently the most depressing day of the year.
This is based on the fact that by this point most people have given up on their resolutions, it’s still a couple of weeks until payday, Christmas memories are fading, and the days are dark & cold.
But we say forget all that! You may not be able to visit the city but there are still plenty of ways you can ‘Brighton’ up Blue Monday at home…
Sea Life Brighton
Follow Sea Life Brighton on Facebook to see videos, live streams, virtual tours and other fin-tastic stuff!
United We Stream
Check the website for upcoming events which in the past have included DJ sets from the pod of the i360, the Brighton Centre and Komedia. The service is also raising vital funds for Brighton’s music industry so please donate if you can.
The Royal Pavilion
Take some time out to enjoy a virtual tour of this spectacular royal palace. The tours come with a sample of their audio guides which are available in several languages.
South Downs National Park
We love the South Downs National Park social media feeds as they are filled with beautiful shots of the countryside. So even if it’s a wet, grey day you can enjoy a moment of calming nature whilst staying warm & dry at home.
Cielo Cakery
Cielo have cookie making kits for you to finish at home, although if even that is too much to handle at the moment then don’t worry, they also offer national deliveries on their scrumptious cake jars, brownies and stuffed cookies.
Enter Gallery
As we’ve all been spending more time at home you might be thinking it’s time to redecorate and a new piece of art is a great place to start. Take a virtual tour of Enter Gallery to get inspired!
