Whether you’re visiting with kids in tow or not, there are so many fun things to do in Brighton that choosing may involve some tough decisions. Of course, the longer you stay, the more you can do!

A generous stretch of beach means that Brighton and Hove can offer a dazzling array of exciting experiences that you simply can’t find in other cities. So if you’re looking for fun and games on the seafront but don’t fancy getting wet, then you could try beach volleyball, zip-wire, crazy golf, trampolining, table tennis, pétanque or skateboarding. You could hire a bike and cycle along the seafront from Hove Lagoon to Brighton Marina and beyond – or, if that sounds too energetic, you could just chill (and sweat) at Beach Box Sauna Spa!

However, if part of the reason you’re coming to Brighton is because you can’t wait to get on or into the water, then that means there’s even more fun to be had! High-speed thrill-seekers should head over to Brighton Marina for powerboating, jet-skiing and sailing. Or visit Hove Lagoon where both adults and kids can book taster days and courses in wakeboarding, windsurfing, kayaking and stand up paddleboading. Alternatively, just pack some swimmers and go for a swim! In the summer, there are lifeguard patrolled zones along the beach between the red and yellow flags, but if swimming in the sea is a little out of your comfort zone, then you can find pools at the Prince Regent Leisure Centre, King Alfred Leisure Centre and Saltdean Lido.

If you want to stroll around Brighton while learning a bit more about your surroundings, then why not try a themed walking tour? From food to local history to street art, there are plenty of angles to choose from that will allow you to expand your knowledge, clock up metres on your pedometer, and maybe make some new friends, too!

Indoor Activities

Of course, this being the UK, you can’t guarantee good weather no matter what time of year it is. So if the weather gods are not smiling upon you during your visit, don’t panic, because there are plenty of interesting things to do indoors, too. Calm, relaxing activities on offer include pottery-painting, yoga, meditation, or a visit to a spa. Or for something a little more active, there’s Globalls, LaserZone or Hollywood Bowl. And if you want an experience that stretches your brain, try one of Brighton’s popular escape rooms, such as Bewilder Box and Pier Pressure Brighton.

Lastly, if you want to see some fast-paced action from the comfort of a seat, then you can watch premier league Brighton & Hove Albion play at the American Express Community Stadium, watch horseracing at Brighton Racecourse or go to the dogs at Brighton & Hove Greyhound Stadium.
