About
Start 2026 with a musical treat.
A programme of jazz, blues, and the spectacular Rhapsody in Blue, presented by two virtuoso musicians, Mike Hatchard, piano and Pete Long, clarinet and saxophone.
Special guest vocalist Julie Roberts.
Rhapsody in Blue is one of the most popular and famous jazz compositions ever written. It is as fresh and exciting today as it was 102 years ago when George Gershwin composed it in a mere five weeks. Mike Hatchard piano and Pete Long clarinet will deliver a thrilling performance.
Mike Hatchard's Jazz Breakfasts take place in the Queen Elizabeth Room in the Shoreham Centre, BN43 5WU (map below) on the first Sunday of each month. Guests are assured of a friendly relaxed atmosphere, and top musicians who vary from month to month. The musicianship is always impressive, and laughs are never too far away.
Recent written comments from our audience in November include, Phenomenal no better way to spend a Sunday morning. Brilliant. Outstanding. Always love the friendly atmosphere and coffee and croissants are delightful. Love the diversity. As ever, absolutely fabulous music and great humour - always makes me smile when I get here. Love the variety too.
