Born where the dust bowl never died, the West-Texas raised trio that is Shallowater - Blake Skipper (guitar/vocals), Tristan Kelly (bass) and Ryan Faulkenberry (drums) - combine slowcore, post-hardcore, country, and Americana elements that defy genre labels. Quickly establishing themselves as ones to watch in the alt-country/slowcore scene, the power trio’s self-described “raw West Texas dirtgaze” has positioned the band as an evocative and distinctive force amongst current alternative genre-blending projects.
